Entry-level?Mechanical?Engineer to?perform a variety of engineering duties by applying basic engineering techniques and analyses, related to equipment. The position oversees construction equipment on the jobsite, creates proposals for new equipment, handle maintenance and cost control of the existing one and assist production team as necessary. Willingness to travel to supplier, client, or construction site locations is required
Field oriented position with possibility of working shifts, to perform QC over the maintenance operations, and performance of the equipment on site.
In addition, preparation of detailed purchase requisitions for material purchase, services, and subcontracts.
Preparation of request for proposals, estimates, design, work plans, AHAs/JHAs, submittals, and other technical documents.
Arranges for purchase of supplies, tools, and machinery and?manages the tracking and maintenance of equipment on site.
Responsible for equipment projections, equipment list, and cash flow.
Confers with department heads to arrange for equipment to be released from service for inspection, service, or repair.
Consults with operating/servicing division officials on equipment replacement needs.
Establish and maintain relationships with clients in order to define their needs, explain technical information, concepts or study results.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.?????????????
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Mechanical Engineering.
None or minimal experience is required
Organizational ability ? able to plan, prioritize, organize and monitor activities and projects. Able to work well in a group environment and foster a team approach.
1-3 years of equipment and/or underground related work experience would be put into consideration.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, codes or government regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information
Computer skills; Design software, spreadsheet software and word processing software
Knowledge and experience with scheduling software (i.e. Microsoft Project), Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to apply advanced mathematical operations and concepts to tasks.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to understand an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
